University of Pitesti hosts dissemination seminar on EN.GA.G.E Erasmus + project results

University of Pitesti, Romania, has organized, on June 20, 2019, a dissemination seminar to present results of now running EN.GA.GE (ENtrepreneurial GAmes for Growing Europeans) Erasmus+ project, aimed primarily at developing entrepreneurial skills starting with early education, through Game-Based Learning (GBL).

Director of UPIT Center for International Relations, conf.univ.dr.Loredana BLOJU, briefly presented the University of Pitesti with its study programs and its international affiliation, and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Psychology, conf. dr. Claudiu LANGA pleaded for cooperation in projects aiming at improving the quality of education, for the benefit of the children.

In front of the audience consisting of teachers, heads of educational departments, heads of specialized school committees, coordinator from the University of Pitesti, Vice-Rector for International Relations, conf.univ.dr. Emanuel SOARE briefly presented the EN.GA.GE project and in particular the concrete results achieved at this stage – namely design, development and testing of two interactive entrepreneurial educational games – Recyclock Party and MyTop – for primary and secondary schools.

What’s special in this project is that all throughout the stages, partners have taken into account the views of the children, which I find extraordinary if we think that the digital games we are working on have been created for them. Learning through digital educational games has enormous benefits – enhanced digital skills, improved memory, rapid decision-making, distributed attention, coordination and orientation, and it has been proved to have exceptional outcomes among pupils with attention deficit“, said conf.univ. dr. Emanuel SOARE.

Prof. Ramona LINTE, Director of Pitești Children’s Palace, partner in the project, presented the way children were involved in the project, by drawing up image settings for the digital games and shortly mentioned the dissemination sessions that have been organized in reference to this project.
