Director of Mansoura University International Relations Office (MUIRO), Prof. Mohammed Sallah, declares collaboration with the University of Pitești, Romania, as a model of success and confirms commitment to develop it, to the benefit of both students and academic and administrative staff of the two partner universities.
“I am extremely pleased with collaboration with the University of Pitești and I especially appreciate the exceptional activity of UPIT Erasmus Office, closely coordinated by Vice-Rector for International Relations, conf.univ.dr.Emanuel Soare and UPIT Rector, conf.univ.dr.ing. Dumitru Chirleșan. Since September 2015, when first UPIT-Mansoura Collaboration Agreement was signed, nearly 70 people (students, academics, university managers and administrative staff) from both parts have benefited from exchanging expertise programs“, said MUIRO Director.
University of Pitești, Romania and Mansoura University, Egypt, signed a Partnership Agreement in September 2015, in the presence of Egyptian Ambassador in Romania at that time, His Excellency Mohamed Alaa Eldin Aly Shawky Al Hadidi and of prestigious academics from both universities. Partnership was renewed in 2016 and 2018, and there were joint projects, exchanging expertise opportunities and Erasmus Plus mobilities in various study disciplines such as Engineering, Physics, Environmental Sciences, Medical Assistance, Primary Education, Economics, Art or Linguistics.
The most recent exchange of expertise took place in 18-21 March 2019, when a delegation of academic and administrative staff from the University of Pitești participated in the Second International Erasmus Week in Mansoura University.
“Collaboration with UPIT is a successful model and proof of the excellent relations between the Egyptian people and the Romanian one. We will continue to develop the relationship between Mansoura University and the University of Pitești, widen the area of exchanging expertise, get involved in joint EU funded projects and establish study programs of common interest. I thank all those who contribute to this fruitful collaboration – Mansoura University, University of Pitești, Embassy of Egypt in Bucharest and Embassy of Romania in Cairo”, Prof. Mohammed Sallah told UPITMEDIA.
