Dean of Faculty of Electronics, Communication and Computers (FECC) within the University of Pitești, Romania, conf. univ. dr. Mihai Oproescu, and prof.univ.dr. Gheorghe Gavriloaia have been invited, on Wednesday, 3 July 2019, at the Romanian Embassy in Azerbaijan to analyze, together with Romanian Ambassador to Baku, His Excellency Mr. Dan IANCU, opportunities for collaboration at technical university level. Visit of UPIT professors took place at the initiative of His Excellency.
“We had a friendly and fruitful discussion on joint study programs that could be established between the Faculty of Electronics, Communications and Computers from the University of Pitești, Romania, and the Technical University of Baku, Azerbaijan. For us, it would be the first collaboration with a country from the former Soviet space, at the level of study programs“, Dean Oproescu told UPITMEDIA.
Meeting of His Excellency with UPIT academic delegation was occasioned by the visit that the two professors made to the Technical University of Azerbaijan. On this occasion, conf. univ.dr. Mihai Oproescu lectured on renewable energy sources, and prof. univ.dr. Gheorghe Gavriloaia has presented microwave applications in the medical field.
Faculty of Electronics, Communications and Computers of the University of Pitești is renowned in Romania and abroad for its modern study programs, research projects, student competitions (RoboSmart, Interconnection Techniques in Electronics) and the international conferences they organize (including ECAI / Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence).
